JULY BEAUTY HAUL & REVIEW

Hi everyone!
Today I'm back with a beauty haul. Here are just a few things that I picked up during this month. I feel like this month I didn't focus on buying beauty related products as much, mainly because there wasn't anything that REALLY stood out to me. However, everything I show in this haul are products I'm really loving and so happy that I bought them!

TARTE SHAPE TAPE CONTOUR CONCEALER
Lets begin with my favourite product out of all the other ones that I will be sharing with you. This is the highly popular Tarte shape tape concealer. I've heard way too many good things about this concealer that I had to take advantage of the free international delivery Tarte was providing! The product came fairly quickly - took about a week!
In terms of its consistency, it's a really thick and creamy concealer. It instantly covers my creases and the coverage is unbelievable. You really need the tiniest amount of this product because of how thick it is! It's a really big concealer compared to your standard ones, and I'm not complaining. It assures me that this product will last a very long time!
I was blessed with dark circles, so a bit of orange colour corrector and this on top covers them magically. So so happy with this purchase and definitely reccomend it to anyone out there looking for a good quality concealer - especially if you have dark circles, hyper pigmentation and dark scarring.

Tarte - Shade MEDIUM - £19

NYX SCULPT & HIGHLIGHT FACE DUO

This is the cream highlight and contour duo from NYX that I'm loving! I use this every time I do a full face of makeup and this is so easy to use! As someone who isn't such a pro when it comes to contouring, this product has made it a lot easier for me to contour my face without looking like a clown. It has a precise doe foot applicator which makes it easy to trace the contour points of my face. The contour and highlighter are so easy to blend - however I do mainly use this product for the contour stick. The concealer/highlighter part is slightly on the peachy side which is what I'm a bit annoyed about because I have a very yellow undertone. But it has great coverage for those looking for a good highlighting concealer!

NYX / Shade CINNAMON & PEACH / £9.50

NYX BORN TO GLOW LIQUID ILLUMINATOR
This is a liquid highlighter by NYX. This one has a rose gold tone which I love! I'm more into my champagne/bronze highlighter, so it was nice to switch it up a bit! It's not TOO intense like my Benefit Sun Beam, but it's good for those subtle makeup days. It has a beautiful glow, perfect for all skin tones! It is a lot smaller than I thought it would be, but you don't need too much of this product. However, one thing I did wrong was that I mixed a lot of the highlighter with my foundation which resulted to my face looking quite pink, which again isn't good for someone with a very yellow undertone. So again, a small amount of this product will do.

NYX / Shade GLEAM / £8

NYX LIQUID SUEDE LIPSTICK
Next is this dark brown liquid lipstick that I'm loving. The liquid suede range by NYX is incredible - they're creamy matte liquid lipsticks that are very long lasting and don't feel dry at all!! They're honestly my favourite and I also own another one of these in the shade Soft Spoken. I've had my eyes on Sandstorm too for a while, might have to grab that at some point! They're really affordable and what more could you want from a very pigmented and creamy matte liquid lipstick?

NYX / Shade DOWNTOWN BEAUTY / £7

MAYBELLINE MASTER BRONZE & HIGHLIGHTING KIT
This is a beautiful bronzing and highlighting palette that I am loving right now! What I love is that this palette has a multipurpose. I use the first shade as a highlighter (left)- this one is a gold highlighter. The second powder is quite pink, so if I ever feel like adding some blush on, I use this one! The third powder is more browny, so perfect for bronzing! The fourth powder is a slightly shimmery rose gold-y shade that I like to use as a highlighter too sometimes, but I also like to mix this shade with the second pink one to use as a eyeshadow! Very blendable and pigmented powders, would defo recommend!

MAYBELLINE / £12.99

REAL TECHNIQUES SETTING BRUSH
Lastly, this is one of my favourite brushes by Real Techniques - the setting brush. I now have two, I use one for highlighting and this one for setting my under eyes with a loose powder! There's nothing much more to say! This brush has such good quality and really helps to set my under eyes properly - it has the perfect shape! This is also a great brush for highlighter - I prefer these than the fan brushes!

£7.99

I hope you enjoyed this mini haul! I haven't really focused on beauty this month because I wanted to focus on skincare more, as well as fashion!

Till next time,

Mini Beauty Haul

Hi there!
Today I have a small beauty haul for you! I went down to Westfield a few days ago and picked up a few things, so I thought I'd give some first impressions and thoughts about the products!
I saw SO many things that I really liked, especially in Urban Outfitters, but sadly my bank account is too broken to be able to afford half the things there :(

The first thing I picked up is the Mario Badescu facial spray which is a product that has been recommended by so many beauty gurus. I bought this from Urban Outfitters, and they had a whole table full of this product, which really lured me into buying it even more. Is it just me? If a product is displayed in a good way, it makes me want to buy it even more??

Anyways, I've already used this a few times and so far it seems great! It's perfect especially for this hot weather as I can take it around with me and spray it on my face when I feel too hot. The best part about it is that it can also be used as a makeup setting spray, so this just helps to keep the makeup on for a bit longer 😉

I also apply this before putting on makeup because it helps to prep my face. It has such a beautiful scent and it feels great on my skin! I would 100% recommend this product for anyone looking for a good facial spray!

I then popped over to The Body Shop, and they currently have an amazing sale going on right now! So many of their popular products, from makeup to skin care, is on sale!

One thing I've been looking for is a good perfume that has a very natural and subtle smell. I prefer subtle ones rather than really harsh and strong perfume scents! This one is the Madagascan Vanilla Flower perfume and I honestly cannot get enough of it! It's so good! This perfume has a very long lasting and fresh scent - exactly what I look for!

Here are a few nail polishes that I picked up from different shops.  A lot of my nail polishes have become old and are slowly running out, so I felt that I needed to pick up a few more!

Starting from the left, this is the Barry M nail polish in Cotton. This is simply a white nail polish and it's a shade I will always go for! I love to wear it throughout all seasons! Personally, I prefer lighter shades rather than dark ones because I feel that it suits me better!

The next one is from The Body Shop in the shade Caring Caramel. This is (as the name suggests) a light brown, caramel colour which I really love! It's kind of similar to my slight tanned skin at the moment, so it's not too much of a bright colour and perfect for days where I don't want anything too bold.

Third one from the left is probably by far my favourite one. This one is from H&M in the shade Natural Linen. So I walked into H&M and I was shocked by their huge display of beauty products. Their range looks SO good! I picked up this colour because it's something very different to what I already own. It has an oatmeal/beige tone to it. Also, I just need to mention how QUICK these dry! It's honestly so good! It dries up within seconds, which is a bonus because it makes the nail process a lot quicker!

The last one is from Barry M in the shade Prickly Pear. I don't understand the name, but it's just a pastel lilac colour. So pretty and perfect for spring/summer! I have yet to try this colour!

The next thing I picked up is from H&M. I have never come across their eyeshadows before and I am honestly shocked by their quality! It's so pigmented and lasts so long! This is in the shade A Pretty Penny. This is a shimmery peach and slightly bronze eyeshadow with hints of gold. I would love to try out more products by H&M!

This is a freebie that I received from Neal's Yard Remedies. This is a soothing massage oil which smells amazing! I'm all for natural remedies, and this product makes me want to look at more of what they sell. Their shop was full of natural and herbal products and it all looked so great!

Anyways, I hope you liked this small post! I'm so happy with everything that I bought! There have been many cases where I go out to try new things but end up being really bad, however this was a very successful shopping trip! I've discovered so many new products which I would go back and buy again!

Thanks for reading 💜

MY COLLECTIVE COLOURPOP HAUL

Hey guys!
So I'm back home from university and I've officially moved back home for the summer! I was going through my makeup yesterday and I hadn't realised the amount of colourpop stuff that I have. For some of you, this might not look like a lot of makeup products, but as colourpop isn't available on websites from the UK, I tend to wait for colourpop to either have free delivery internationally, or wait for really good offers! Colourpop, in my opinion, have some really good offers online. For example they usually have a lot of freebies they give away when you spend a certain amount, which I think is so good because their products are amazing.

I heard about colourpop through YouTube as many beauty gurus were colloborating with them. For instance, Jenn Im and Kathleen Lights. Colourpop in general blew up all over instagram. How can it not? It's super affordable and great quality.
So I thought I'd do a small collective haul of all the products that I've purchased from the website.

Lippie Pencil - BUMBLE - this is a very creamy and beautiful pink lip pencil.
I'm very much into my browns/reds rather than pinks! I feel that it suits me a lot better! Tansy is a liquid satin lipstick and I really like the finish and formula of the satin liquid lipsticks! The matte ones could be a bit dry and fill in the lines of your lips, however if you apply lip balm before it really helps!
BUMBLE, TULLE, LOVE BUG - pinks
TANSY, LIMBO - browns
MAMA - orangey red

So this is the lippie stix in the shade TAURUS. This is hands down my favourite product from colourpop! I would go back and buy more of  the lippie stix in different colours! I feel like I need to restock in this shade because it's really good for everyday! This is more of a brown shade, but not too dark like LIMBO. It's super moisturising and looks very natural!

This is a creme gel liner in the shade OVERBOARD which is a brown shimmery (bronze) gel liner. This is honestly so good and once you put it on, it doesn't budge!! It's super long lasting!
These are the super shock eyeshadows. They're all browns/golds/orange shades because it's what I personally go for when I'm in the mood for some eyeshadow!
TO-A-T is such a beautiful and natural brown colour, perfect for everyday.
PARADOX  - SEEKER - TO-A-T - ELIXIR - matte
JINXIE - SMASH - VEGA - MOONING - LALA - shimmer
$5 each
Highlighter - DO NOT DISTURB - bronze. Sadly not the right colour for my skin tone, but would be perfect for darker skin!

I have slightly tanned Indian skin, therefore I feel like browns and bronze-y colours suit me more. Especially with eyeshadows, it really helps to bring out my eye colour and make them pop! For lips, I rarely use pink shades because I'm really not into pink lips. However, anything brown/red is my thing! TAURUS is something I would recommend to anyone looking for a good brown lipstick! It's honestly so good and can be worn for daytime and nighttime!

I'm quite wary when it comes to buying makeup online because I don't want anything that's too light for my skin colour. Sometimes the product looks different online, so I always watch YouTube videos or go on pinterest for some swatches on Indian people! I also hardly go for nudes - the most nude I have is Velvet Teddy by MAC.

Colourpop is such a good and fun brand! Their website makes me want to buy everything, am I the only one?
I hope you liked this post! See you next time 😉

My GO-TO Highlighters

Hello all,
Unlike my other posts, this one will probably mainly attract makeup enthusiasts.
A quick update about my blog - I've changed this blog from being just travel. I want to blog about my other interests too, such as fashion and beauty. (Read more about it on my about page).
Anyways, THIS will be my first ever beauty post and I'm pretty excited! I have come across SO many fashion and beauty blogs and it all just looked so fun. I was very inspired by classandglitter to start blogging about makeup.

So back to my go-to highlighters - I was actually pretty late in the highlight trend. I never understood the hype until I bought my first ever liquid highlighter - the Sun Beam by Benefit. This was quite a game changer for me, and I love to put highlighter on every time I do my makeup now! To be honest, I'm not very challenging when it comes to makeup so I stick to very similar colours.
My skin is yellow and medium toned (Indian), therefore I stick to my golden/bronze colours, rather than the white highlighters which would basically look like a bold white line across the high points of my cheek (not a good look).

Here are four of my favourite highlighters that I like to use (arranged by price):
